Used And Vintage Acoustic Guitars
Amazing.  That's the first one that comes to mind when it comes to this Martin Custom Shop 000-41 that we just took in.  While there are a lot of 000-18's and 000-28's out there, it's pretty rare to find a 000-41, especially one like this.  The Martin Custom Shop is known to make some of the best acoustic guitars, ever, and this is a perfect example.
This being a "style 41", it's based on a rarely seen guitar - the 000-41.  Adorned with abalone binding & inlays, along with herringbone purfling, the guitar will stand out in collection, studio or stage.  The craftsmanship and attention to detail is unparalleled.   Also, it's a rare one - only 3 of these were ever made.

One of the guitars main calling cards is the High Altitude Swiss Spruce top.  Given a top grade of 3-4, it's stunning to see, and sounds amazing too.  It's considered by many to best spruce tonewood available, and we'd have to agree.  It's FSC certified 100%, which adds to it's limited availability  It's north facing spruce that is grown slowly under harsh conditions, and has tighter annual growth lines, and is denser, compared to other spruce.  It has a glassier sound, projects nicely, and results in a very vibrant and loud acoustic.  There's more clarity with a bit quicker note response.  Swiss Spruce also has a shorter "break in" period.  The sound gets drier as the top matures and settles.  This is a guitar that will surely age well.  It matches very well with the Flamed Mahogany back & sides, which also looks amazing, and provides a sold warmth and roundness to balance out the sound.

The Mahogany neck with a Modified Low Oval neck shape is wonderful to play, and has the perfect amount of natural wear (no marks or dings, just broken-in feeling) on the satin finish.  It's topped with a black Ebony fretboard with a 16" radius, adorned with Diamond & Squares inlays and white Boltaron dots on the side.  The neck has a 1.75" nut width, with it being 2.2125" at the 12th fret.  The black Ebony bridge (modern belly style with drop in saddle) has a string spacing of 2.156".

The guitar is in excellent condition - you can tell that there previous own was careful to take care on it.  There  is one very small ding, which is hard to photograph.  The guitar has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It comes with the original hardshell case.

This is one of the nice used Martin guitars we've ever had here.  Come to Truetone Music to experience it, or order right here today.
