Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition American Custom Stratocaster NOS Aged Inca Silver Electric Guitar With Case

Take a classic Fender Stratocaster®, deck it out customized player-centric features, the finest hand-selected figured woods and custom hand-wound pickups, and you have the American Custom Stratocaster.  We tweaked this one a little to retain a bit more of the vintage vibe.  When it arrived, we realized we had one of the most striking Strats we've seen in a while on our hands.

The two-piece select alder body was sorted for light weight, and has an NOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish, in a classic color: Inca Silver.  Originally used on Chevrolet's famous Corvette, from 1957 to 1959, Fender had introduced Inca Silver as an official Custom Color in 1960.

The real standout is one-piece AAAA flame maple neck - it's simply unbelievable.  The expert craftsmen at the Custom Shop hand-wiped a special stain on it to highlight the grain, making it really pop out.  If you're looking for a Strat with an amazing flame maple neck, this is it! 

Fender recently started offering a neck shape that vintage fans have long been attracted to, which this guitar has: the 1963 “C” profile.  It's completed by a 9.5”-12” compound-radius fingerboard, making it easy to play all the way up the neck.   

Hand-wound El Diablo pickups bring the heat, giving you a spiced up output while also retaining the ability to clean up nicely.  This pickup set is surprisingly balanced, and while the ability to cut through the mix is there, you won't experience a harshness often found with super hot pickups.  You can get the clarity and note separation you want, and the Fat 50's wiring gives you the ability the roll the volume down without losing the high-end sparkle.  

Other features include a single ply parchment pickguard, strap locks, vintage locking tuners (as opposed to the pearl button tuners found on most American Custom's), bone nut, and an engraved Limited Edition neckplate.  Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
