Airsonic W

Reverend Founder Joe Naylor has been on a quest to meld a solid body's sustain and attack with the rich, big tone of a semi-hollow. Naylor's sonic dream is now a reality with the introduction of the Reverend Airsonic. Radically thinner wings and thru-body f-holes allow the body to resonate intensely, while a thick center ridge establishes solid sustain. Harmonics shimmer, single notes sing, and power chords ring like a bell at stage volume. Add in overdrive, and the controllable feedback is a thing of beauty. With the forearm and stomach contours, this guitar is light and comfortable. The Airsonic W has Railhammer Humcutters that capture the clarity and dynamics of a P90 without the hum. A Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo in the bridge rounds out the package. If you're ready to make a unique visual and sonic statement, the Airsonic W is for you!

Features

CUSTOM PICKUPS: We design our own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with our instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching.
PIN-LOCK TUNERS: A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes. Also, the posts are custom height, eliminating the need for a second string tree.
KORINA BODY: Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
WILKINSON WVS50 IIK TREMOLO: Features include saddles that lock to the baseplate, adjustable arm swing tension, and a push-in/no freeplay arm. Combined with our graphite nut and pin-lock tuners, it stays in tune even under aggressive whammy action.
BASS CONTOUR: This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips!
BONEITE NUT: We use "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all Reverend instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.
RAILHAMMER PICKUPS: Rails under the wound strings for tight lows. Poles under the plain strings for fat highs. This revolutionary design from Reverend founder Joe Naylor delivers exceptional clarity and punch, that will get you heard loud and clear!
ROASTED MAPLE NECK: Roasted Maple is heat treated at over 300° F to remove sugars, moisture, and impurities. This maple is lighter, more stable, and has a beautiful caramel color. The result is an exceptional maple neck that will require less seasonal adjustment, and boasts a rich vintage look!

Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. PIN-LOCK TUNERS: A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.
INITIALED HEADSTOCK : Every Reverend is hand initialed and serial numbered on the back of the headstock by one of our highly skilled technicians who sets up, inspects, and tests every instrument.
WILKINSON WVS50 IIK TREMOLO : Features include saddles that lock to the baseplate, adjustable arm swing tension, and a push-in/no freeplay arm. Combined with our boneite nut and pin-lock tuners, it stays in tune even under aggressive whammy action.
VARI-CLAW TREMOLO CLAW: This innovative claw gives you the option of 3 springs in the middle for a firm tremolo feel, or 2 springs on the outside for a softer feel. The offset hook design lets you switch between 3 or 2 springs, with little or no cumbersome adjustment of the claw needed.
CUSTOM DOME KNOBS: Our proprietary knobs feature a lower profile which is less likely to be accidentally hit by the player's hand, and the white dot lets you easily see where your knob rotation is set.
