Up for sale is this great Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V in a beautiful 3-Tone Sunburst. This is a great example of one of the most iconic basses ever, but with the added sonic possibilities of being a 5-string.  Beautifully crafted with versatile extended range, this is the U.S.-made flagship of the Jazz Bass lineup in powerful five-string form. For the bassist who wants to go deeper, the American Standard Jazz Bass V is a great way to go, delivering dynamic five-string depth and design with smooth, fast feel and unmistakable Jazz Bass tone that sings, snarls, grooves and growls with more power and purity than ever.
Feel the comfort of its modern "C" maple neck with a toneful rosewood fingerboard.  A lot of 5-string basses can be a real challenge to play, especially for those used to playing a regular 4 string - but not this one.  It's super comfortable and easy to play.  With its 5-String High Mass Vintage (HMV) Bridge (Strings-Through-Body or Topload) you get full bodied tone and stability.  It also adds sustain.  Hear the distinct tone of its dual single coil pickups that are designed to maintain a good tone of the low end.  The simple controls of a volume knob for each pickup and a tone knob make it incredibly easy to dial in your tone.
This bass is in excellent condition - it appears that the previous owner barely ever played it, or perhaps never (the tuners still have the original plastic on them!).  It's kind of incredible to find one like this, seemingly untouched since built in 2012.  The bass comes with an original hardshell case, which is a super sturdy, high quality flight case.
