The Lucille is based on the classic Gibson ES-345 semi-hollow guitar. You get a laminate arched maple body that is exceptionally resonant. The Lucille is known for not having F-holes bringing a new dimension of tones. The top and body is tastefully bound with a triple binding with a shiny gloss black finish. It comes with a bounded comfortable mahogany neck with a smooth gloss finish and an ebony fingerboard with bold block inlays. Speaking of inlays the headstock comes with a "Lucille" inlay, Gibson inlay and gold truss rod cover.
B.B. King was known for incredible tones and this "Lucille" proves why it was his main guitar. The "Lucille" is packed with a pair of high-quality humbuckers, you get a 490R Alnico magnet humbucker in the neck and a 490T Alnico magnet humbucker in the bridge. These pickups provide thick, punchy tones with plenty of articulation. And whether you want stay clean or add dirt these are the perfect pickups for any genre or style of playing, but obviously really cooks with the blues and blues rock. You have plenty of tonal control with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup as well as the Varitone. The Varitone gives you a variety of different tones to choose from at the flick of the knob. It cuts/boosts certain frequencies.
This fine instrument is a real standout and is adorned with gold hardware, gold pickup covers, rock solid gold bridge with fine tuners for precise tuning and intonation, and gold tuning machines.
This guitar is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case. Everything on it is original, except for the pickguard (that's aftermarket). The tech in our shop have set it up to play perfectly, and it's ready to go.
