Burkett runs Electrical Guitar Company (EGC) and builds official Travis Bean reissues and new designs under a licensing agreement and joint venture with the Bean family (Travis Bean Designs). Burkett owns and operates both entities, using his manufacturing shop to build instruments for both lines. Travis Bean Designs is joint venture/imprint (partnered with Rita Bean) dedicated specifically to officially licensed reissues and models honoring the original 1970s aluminum-neck Travis Bean guitars.

The Standard is the flagship model of EGC. It's not named so because it is ordinary; rather it is the new standard by which all others are judged. Designed for Kevin’s former bandmate D. Croll, the model outlived the band but the name and model lived on. The Standard is based on a hybrid modular design that became the core of all EGC models: a solid neck through neck with an aluminum body mounted around it. This design brought together everything loved about the aluminum guitar world, with a few twists thrown in. Once the prototype was completed, it surpassed all expectations of clarity, chorus, biting highs and clearly defined lows. They knew they had made something special. Quite simply, EGC raised the standard.

Here we have a custom-made version, with a 30-inch baritone scale. So, when you want to get low, you definitely can! It has a solid T6061-T6 aluminum neck-through design with integrated frets. It's super comfortable to play, especially once you get use to the feel of metal instead of wood. The aluminum body looks super cool; the rear plate is powder coated with an industrial wrinkle black finish to prevent buckle rash.

The guitar features custom-wound aluminum cased EGC humbucker pickups. They are powerful with a tight low end, perfect for a baritone like this. Whether clean or dirty, these pickups work extremely well. The control configuration for the Standard is 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs and 3-way switching.

The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is in excellent condition. The original hardshell case is included.

This is an instrument like no other. It's not for everyone, but for the someone that it is for, there are no comparisons - it's a unique find for sure.

Serial Number: 2563

https://www.truetonemusic.com/products/electrical-guitar-company-standard-baritone-left-handed-with-ohsc
