While its existing Omnis Series represents the company's most affordable offerings, and its pricier Alt de Facto range boasts the most options for customization, the Oltre Series – which replaces the now-discontinued Standard Series – looks to bridge the gap between the two.

Built in Fano's US facilities, Oltre Series guitars are made to order – guitarists can choose from over 40 different finishes, as well as a range of distress levels, from new-old-stock (NOS) to heavy. The models can be further visually customized with a variety of pickguard colors and knob styles.

This is the full Oltre Series that we received, and we are impressed!  Fano knocked it out the park, and honestly we see it as being worth more than what the price indicates.

We designed this one to be a classic JM6 with a "black on black" aesthetic.  The nitro lacquer finish in Bull Black is topped by a black plexi pickguard, and completed with black knobs and pickup covers.  The Light Distress finish package gives it the feel of a guitar that's been broken in but not too heavily abused.  It's tastefully done, as seen in the photos.

A smooth maple neck is a great contrast to the body, and gives you a snappy, fresh tone.  The 60's C shape on the back of the necks is very comfortable to play, and the compound radius (9.5 - 12") of the fretboard makes lead playing a breeze.  For those not familiar with a compound radius, this creates a flatter feel as you progress up the neck, allowing for easier lead playing and bending without fretting out.

Fano P90 pickups round out this guitar, giving you a sweet tone that sounds serene and clean, as well a powerful when dirty.  These were designed by Fano, and fit well in the world between regular single coil pickups and humbuckers.  They are bright without being harsh, and thick-sounding without being muddy.  We love how balanced they are, and the versatility you get from them.

Full specs are below.  This guitar comes with a very nice, padded Fano gig bag that's sturdy enough to take out on the road.  Whether you're doing that or playing at home, this is an excellent choice!
