Fender Custom Shop ‘51 Nocaster Relic Blonde

$ 3,699.99

In February of 1951, Fender received a telegram from The Gretsch Company informing them of a trademark infringement on their model name Broadcaster, as Gretsch was manufacturing a line of drums under the very similar “Broadkaster” name. Not wanting to waste any materials Leo Fender simply had his employees cut “Broadcaster” from the decal, producing guitars that only had the word “Fender” on the headstock. This “no-model” transitional guitar has become known to collectors and aficionados as the Nocaster.

This recreation of a Fender classic features an ash body, U-shaped maple neck, and single-ply black pickguard, with a few modern updates including 9.5" fretboard radius, Dunlop 6105 frets, and modern wiring for the the perfect blend of playability and tone. The incredibly smooth satin neck finish is not to be overlooked either.

Fender®, Telecaster®, Nocaster® and the distinctive headstock and body designs commonly found on the Tele® are trademarks of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
