LsL T Bone TB1 Sugar Pine Body Matte Sunburst Finish Heavy Age

$ 1,899.99

This is ridiculous. LsL can do no wrong when it comes to pine guitars. They consistently weigh in well under 7 pounds & have a fantastic sound with big focused bass, clear mids & gorgeous chimey top end. This is an outstandingly responsive guitar; a real heartbreaker, and weighs in at only 6.4lbs!!!

Many discerning luthiers are using sugar pine in Tele style guitars these days & with good reason- many of the earliest Broadcasters, No-Casters, Esquires & Teles were made from sugar pine. Replicating pickups & bridges certainly makes a difference but pine seems to be the missing link in recreating that classic early Tele tone. Pine has more snap & clarity than ash. Pine also seems to be consistently lighter. Whatever the reason pine always seems to do the trick in a Tele.

LsL necks are hand carved. This one is very even from top to bottom with a mid 50s rounded Big C shape. The only concessions to modernity are a 9.5" radius fingerboard & 6105 frets which yield fantastic playability. Hand-wound vintage output pickups with Alnico V magnets keep things sounding lively.

The T-bone is a re-creation of the best a 50s or 60s vintage T-style guitar has to offer and more. We start by selecting the best possible materials and then make them right here in our shop. We make the bodies, necks, truss rods, pickups, saddles and pick guards all here. Each body is built and detailed by hand. Each neck is hand shaped. Then we lay on the thinnest possible nitrocellulose lacquer finish and that finish is then weather checked. This creates a very airy, open, articulate tone that is then enhanced by our own, LsL hand-wound pickups.

This is as close as you can get to achieving the tone, playability, look and feel of a vintage guitar. Our T-bones have found their way into the hands of many a player who has replaced their 50's-vintage instrument with ours. The best materials, best processes and a love and care for each guitar is what makes the T-bone the new standard in vintage-style instruments."
The ToneBone One is the same as Tbone Model, except the TB1 has a matte finish. Still nitro, but not as shiny. This allows LsL to make the same great guitar for a much lower price.
Includes hardshell case.
