Over more than 40 years, the clear coat over the white pigments naturally reacts to light and oxygen, causing the color to yellow significantly, often accompanied by beautiful, tight lacquer checking. It looks great on the alder body and maple neck, which has a wide, flat "C" shape and is topped with with a vintage-accurate 7.25" radius dark rosewood fretboard. It has vintage frets and clay dots, keeping it period correct. This is a lightweight and easy to play bass, that's for sure.

You get vintage hardware and classic sounding pickups to recreate the "sound heard around the world". There's nothing that matches a vintage P bass tone and this one brings it to the table. The vintage-style split single-coil P-Bass pickup with copper shielding plate is all you need. Reverse-gear open tuners, a vintage style 4-saddle threaded bridge, and 4-ply brown tortoiseshell pickguard completes the bass.

We opened the bass to find that it has a neck stamp date of 1-14-83 and the builder's name on the neck reads J. TORRES

The original hardshell case is included. This AVRI '62 Precision bass was put to good use over the years but is still in great shape - while it's been around for 44 years, it was built to last. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go another 44 times around the sun!

Serial Number: V014707

https://www.truetonemusic.com/products/pre-owned-1983-fender-avri-62-precision-bass-vintage-white-with-ohsc
