{"product_id":"pre-owned-2005-tacoma-thunderchief-fretless-cb10c-acoustic-electric-bass-natural-with-ohsc","title":"Pre-Owned 2005 Tacoma Thunderchief Fretless CB10C Acoustic-Electric Bass Natural with OHSC","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cimg alt=\"Used And Vintage\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0789\/2433\/files\/vintage_and_used.png?v=1742598156\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eBass players that recall the Tacoma Thunderchief will remember that it was one of the best acoustic basses of the era.  Until discontinued in 2008, the Thunderchief held a unique spot in the bass world.  Big, bold and powerful - that's what Tacoma set out to achieve with the Thunderchief, and they nailed it.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eHere we have a great example of a fretless version, built in 2005.  Crafted in Tacoma, Washington, it's one of the most resonant and loudest acoustic basses we've come across.  While a lot of acoustic basses work perfectly when plugged, many simply don't hold up in a true acoustic setting.  The Thunderchief is different - you get power and projection - so even unplugged you can take it to the jam.  \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe low end is fully present, thanks to the unique design of the bass.   The signature teardrop \"paisley\" soundhole is located on the upper bass bout rather than the center. This design increases the vibrating surface area of the top soundboard, maximizing acoustic projection and volume.   It's also super comfortable and easy to play, with a bolt-on mahogany neck and a lightweight body.
