While most dreadnoughts of the era used mahogany or rosewood, this D-44 features solid Pearwood back and sides. Pearwood is a rare tonewood that sits beautifully between the warmth of mahogany and the brightness and snap of maple. It offers a balanced voice that cuts through a mandolin or fiddle effortlessly. The three-piece mahogany\/maple neck provides incredible structural stability, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge add a premium touch to the overall build quality.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis specific D-44 is a player’s dream that has been fully revitalized for its next fifty years of playing.
