Vintage 1936 Regal Single Cone Resonator Acoustic Guitar With Case
Do you want to talk about vibey guitars and instruments with personality and mojo? If only this vintage 1936 Regal single cone resonator could talk, the stories that it could tell. This is a round neck, single cone resonator with a mahogany neck and body with a rosewood fingerboard. This one has all the fat, smokey tone that you can handle. It has that Darth Vadar talking into a tin can tone, great acoustic volume and resonance. The condition is good considering it's over 80 years old. There's a lot of lacquer checking, dings, chips, impressions and scratches. The fat "V" shape neck feels great and the fret wear is surprisingly on the light side.
The tuners have been changed to open back strip tuners and they hold their tuning very well. Also, at one point on July 7th, 1969, one Bob "Beef" Oleno of Huntington Beach California decided to take the resonator out to autograph the inside of the guitar and include his then phone number as well. They cone was put back in and works as it should, beautifully.
