Used Santa Cruz OM Grand Natural Acoustic Electric Guitar with OHSC

At the 2012 NAMM Show, Harry Tuft, a longtime friend and dealer for SCGC, approached Richard Hoover with a request for a special guitar to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of his shop. As a tribute to this significant achievement and Harry's impact on the folk movement in the country, Richard eagerly agreed. The result was a custom OM guitar with a larger body size for increased power, reminiscent of Martin's iconic 0000 design. Harry also personalized his guitar to his own playability preferences and aesthetic tastes, including special inlays to mark his milestone achievement.

With a focus on creating a superior sound and design, Richard envisioned the OM Grand as a valuable addition to the distinguished SCGC standard models. The result of careful template preparation, this enhanced version offers both power and nuance in solo fingerstyle playing, thanks to the top-quality tone woods and expert voicing and tuning found across all SCGC guitars.

This one in particular features African Blackwood back & sides, paired wonderfully with a German Spruce top.  The result is a rich, full tone that projects strongly, but is not overbearing.  Well-balanced is often used to describe acoustics, but this one really does perfect it.  This OM Grand hits across the tonal spectrum, with a strong, even bass response that is never overly boomy, with pleasant mids and a shimmering high end.  

The guitar has an aftermarket L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup/preamp added, so you can get amplfied as needed for live performance.  The original hardshell case is included, as is paperwork.

This Santa Cruz OM Grand is in excellent condition and has been setup to play perfectly.  We rarely see previously owned Santa Cruz guitars coming through, and this one is a gem.
