Fender introduced the Precision Bass in 1951, and its thick sound and indestructible build changed popular music. It has stayed relatively the same since the mid-to-late 50's, but it did evolve and continued to improve over the years. In 2008 the American Standard Precision Bass came out and became a mainstay for Fender. In 2012, it was upgraded with Custom Shop pickups - this version became the most popular. As solidly built and powerful sounding as ever, this is the workhouse bass that gives you all that you need.
Here we have one of those versions, built in 2014 (the neck shows a 2013 serial # but it shipped in 2014). It's an ultra cool finish called Mystic Blue - a color that Fender only did for a couple of years. It's in great shape, other than one ding on the side of the body (see photos). The previous owner is a guitar player, and got this bass to use on a few recordings - but then barely played it. The bass has been vetted and set up to play perfectly, and includes the original hardshell case.
The American Standard Precision Bass has a high-mass vintage bridge, Fender Custom Shop ’60s Precision Bass split single-coil pickup, and improved Fender tuners that are 30 percent lighter while keeping the classic look, It also features a thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, a great-looking gloss rosewood fingerboard, and satin neck back for smooth playability.

This is a great playing bass that's a steal at this price, and it's in a color that you can't get anymore. Grab it before it's gone.
