Pre Owned 2022 Gibson Tony Iommi SG Special Faded Cherry With OHSC

If you need a guitar worthy of an Iron Man, here's this Gibson Tony Iommi SG Special in Faded Cherry! This 2022 incarnation of Black Sabbath's legendary guitar player Tony Iommi SG is based on his 1964 SG nickamed "Monkey". The guitar features historic and unique specs to this particular one that differs from his other signature SGs. 

This signature SG comes with the iconic deep double-cut mahogany body that is lightweight and extremely resonant. You get a set mahogany neck that is bounded with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot markers. You get the slim 60's neck profile which is quite comfortable. 

The biggest difference with this signature SG and the others is that this one comes with two chrome-covered P90s instead of humbuckers. P90s are prized for their thick tones but also there single-coil dynamics, and top end. These pickups are great for clean and really shine with plenty of gain just as Tony would. You can crank up for riffs and leads for days with this one. Find your favorite sounds easily with the classic electronics setup. This SG has individual volume and tone controls, and Orange drop capacitors for each pickup and a 3-way selector.

This Tony Iommi SG comes with a stylish small SG black pickguard, black witch knobs, period-correct wraparound bridge, and Grover tunings machines with large buttons.

Don't be paranoid this guitar is in great condition - there's a bit of wear around the headstock but nothing major, and the body is clean.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  The guitar comes with its original hardshell case and is ready to go.
