Pre Owned 1993 Collings D3 Natural Acoustic Guitar With OHSC

The Collings D3 is a 14-fret dreadnought, the most popular steel-string acoustic body shape in the world. Its square-shouldered form permiates warmth and depth, with tonal clarity due to Collings' crafting. Its bass response is perfect for vocal accompaniment, but it can also shine in bluegrass flatpicking against louder instruments like banjos and fiddles. The range of woods and neck sizes make it easy to find the perfect model for your playing style and tonal needs.

Here we have an excellent Collings D3 from 1993.  Hand-built in Texas, this is a square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought that gives you all the fullness, articulation, warmth, and character you want from a premier builder like Collings. You get East Indian Rosewood back and sides complimented by its Sitka Spruce top, all bound beautiful with Ivoroid black and white binding. This combination is perfect for great tone. You get the sparkle in the top end and deep lows.

This guitar features a Honduran mahogany neck with a modified V-neck profile complimented with an ebony fingerboard with a compound radius for ease and comfort. It is adorned with beautiful abalone dots and rosette. With its pre-war scalloped bracings and Mortoise-Tenon neck joint you get not only fantastic tone but excellent sustain. This guitar is equally at home with fingerpicking or flatpicking.

This guitar is in good condition, especially considering it turns 30 this year.  There's evidence of it being played but not too heavily, and there are no issues whatsoever.  Please view the photos to see everything. The original hardshell case is included.  For those that know how great a Collings guitar can be, it will be no suprise upon first strum.  For those that don't know, now is the time to find out before this one is gone.
