Pre Owned 2013 Fender Custom Shop Double TV Jones Two Tone Telecaster NOS Lake Placid Blue With OHSC

Stepping up to the plate, we have an amazing Fender Custom Shop build from 2013: the Double TV Jones Two Tone Telecaster. It's a rather unique piece, for a variety of reasons....
First, you'll notice the appearance. It's not just a regular looking Tele, it's got the two tone vibe going on - the top is Lake Placid Blue, and the back & sides are Black. The colors are separated by parchment binding (top only). It's a super cool look that you rarely see. This one is an NOS (New Old Stock), meaning that there's no aging or wear - it's clean & pristine. Thankfully the previous owner kept it like that.
The next aspect that pops out that it's loaded with dual TV Jones Classic pickups. This Telecaster features a tonal range between the classic Tele and Gretsch tones, ideal for a variety of genres. Go for rockabilly, go for swing, go for AC/DC, go for jazz - this is a truly versatile guitar. It can sparkle its way through clear waters and also get down in the dirt. The simple control layout includes a 3-way pickup selector, Master Volume, and Greasebucket tone circuit, which attenuates highs without adding low-end frequencies, resulting in a clear and defined sound.
The uniqueness doesn't stop there. While most Telecasters have a maple or rosewood fretboard, this one features an ebony fretboard on top of a dark tinted quartersawn maple neck. It's rock solid, and super comfortable to play with the satin polyurethane finish. The neck profile is a modified 60's Oval C - the same shape, but thicker (.875 - .950") to give it more of vintage grip. It's a 22 fret neck, giving you just a bit more of a modern touch, with a 9.5" radius and 6105 (narrow tall) frets. Also, it has a Bi-Flex truss rod for improved stability.
The body is alder, and it's a great weight. We noticed right away that this guitar is really resonant, even unplugged. Of course, plugged in, it sings and screams! For someone that needs a straight up old school Tele, this may not be the one. But anyone looking for something different, this is definitely one to focus on.
Other features include a hardtail bridge, Schaller tuners and a Mint Green pickguard that looks perfect against the Lake Placid Blue finish. The original hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity are included.
This Custom Shop Tele is in excellent condition - the previous owner told us that he only played it a couple of times, and kept it safely in a climate controlled, smoke free room for the last 10 years. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It's ready to go, and go fast it will!
