Used and Vintage Electric Guitars
We get a lot of unique guitars here at Truetone Music, and this is definitely one of them!
Postal Guitars is a small boutique builder based out of Memphis, TN.  founded by Jonathan Postal, they produce handmade instruments with a completely unique style and aesthetic.  Using a variety of tonewoods, they are all chambered using a original design developed by themselves.  The hand stained nitro lacquer finish helps to create a vintage vibe.  With hardware often fabricated from brass, silver and flamed maple, each has it's own look and the brand itself is nothing like anything else out there.

This one in particular is a handmade Delta Zephyr in Flamed Antique Burst.  It's the exact guitar featured in the December 2021 issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine. As an added bonus, a copy of the magazine is included with the guitar.

The chambered body is made of African Mahogany, with a 0.25" hand-stained flame maple.  This finish gives it a nice texture - it's not perfectly smooth, as that wasn't the intent.  It's the perfect feel for a guitar styled like this.  It's light weight, well balanced, and very resonant.  The top is finished in 5 colors hand rubbed into Flame Maple then shot with Nitrocellulose lacquer, with a slightly distressed treatment.

The Delta Zyphar's maple neck is super comfortable to play.  It's a pleasantly chunky C shape, topped with a rosewood fretboard and medium jumbo frets.  The unique tilt-back scroll headstock, which is a patented Postal design, definitely will grab anyone's attention.  The added touch is the glued-on logo in the form of a postage stamp.

The guitar is loaded with dual Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups, which sound amazing and can do the trick perfectly for a variety of styles, whether clean, just slightly broken up, or heavily distorted.  It's also outfitted with a Bigsby, a Schaller roller bridge and locking tuners.

The brass hardware may be the Delta Zyphar's calling card, and it's stunning.  The Vintage Skyscraper Brass Control Plate is a classic Art Deco design, and pickguard is made of brass salvaged from the old Memphis train station.  We've all seen guitars with reclaimed wood, but rarely reclaimed metal - this is super cool.

The guitar has been vetted and set up to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  It comes with the original hardshell case.  This is a truly unique guitar, perhaps one of the most eye-catching that we have right now - but it also plays and sounds amazing.  We've never had a Postal here before, and have a feeling it will be gone quickly!
