Vintage 1966 Vox AC15 Guitar Amp Combo

From the years of the British Invasion comes this incredible vintage Vox AC15! This is the little brother to the AC30 making it a more compact and portable amp with the same legendary Vox tone.  But for those that want to move some air and get the unbeatable sound of a dual speaker configuration, here we have an AC15 Twin, straight out of 1966.

A lot happened in 1966 - it was transformative year in music.  Albums gained prominence over singles, Revolver and Pet Sounds were released, and experimentation in the studio started to shine.  Vox amps were quite popular, but the AC15 wasn't not at it's height - in fact, by 1964, the single speaker version was done, and by 1966 very few of the twin speaker version were made - making this a rather rare find.

What you get is a dual-channel EL84 based amp that brings you everything from crisp, sparkly cleans to a top-boosted tone that is warm with incredible midrange bite and articulation. You can patch the channels together to get a wide range of tones. This amp pumps out 15-watts of pure tube tone through a set of two 12" speakers. This particular AC15 comes with a pair of Vintage 30's that accurately gives you the perfect sonic range for fantastic vintage tube tones, tight low end, great mids and top end.  

This vintage amp has the original heart and soul of its tone, its transformers. It being a vintage amp it also has had some replaced components. You get all new capacitors, resistors, speakers, and an external jack for the footswitch, and a retro-fitted 3-prong power cable.

This amp has been cleaned and lubed of all non-sealed Pots, tested all Tubes (replaced a 12AX7 preamp tube). Replaced pointer knob and replaced 100uf @100v Bias Capacitor. Afterwards amp tested to good working order.
