Vintage 1972 Gibson EBO Walnut Bass With OHSC

For those who want great vintage bass tones from a short scale bass legend, here's this Gibson EB-0 from 1972! From its debut in the '60s the Gibson EB-0 has established itself as a short scale bass with great feel and plenty of thick, punchy tones.
The EB-0 features a double-cut slab mahogany body ala SG with a great walnut finish that you can really see the grain. The deep cutaways give plenty of access to the fingerboard. The set mahogany neck gives you excellent transfer of resonance throughout the body. It comes with a rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets with a slimmer '70s profile. The shorter scale gives it a comfy feel and it weighs less the 8lbs. This bass comes with a slotted headstock for better intonation, stability, and tone.
The power of this bass comes from its single humbucker pickup placed right below the fingerboard. This pickup gives you a prime spot for thick, rich, and thumpy bass tones from a single pickup. You get simple Volume and Tone controls for even more tone tweaking. This bass is perfect for any playing style and is equally at home with clean or distorted settings.
This Gibson EB-0 is great with roundwound strings and you want even warmer thumpier tones you can put flatwound strings too. It's in great condition especially for its age with some expected player wear and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. It comes with its original hardshell case. This is a great score for sure!
