Vintage 1974 Fender Telecaster Deluxe Black With OHSC

If you've ever wanted a vintage Fender Telecaster Deluxe this is your time! Here's this incredible one from 1974. What a year that was - Aaron broke Ruth's career home run record, Watergate broke Nixon, and the invention of the Rubik's Cube broke some people's perceptions of themselves as being really smart. But we digress....
In 1973, Fender debuted the Telecaster Deluxe, which became a legendary take on an already iconic instrument. It was a unique version that became a mainstay in the lineup. In fact, Fender continues to reissue because of its distinct features with incredible tones, look, and feel.
This vintage Fender Telecaster Deluxe comes with its single-cut alder body with a gloss black finish and a 3-ply black pickguard. It comes with the '70s-style three-bolt maple neck with a slim profile and bullet-style truss rod. You get black dot markers, 21 vintage frets, and of course the large Strat style headstock with black decal. The neck also has a sleek gloss finish.
The heart of this Telecaster Deluxe is its wide-range humbucking pickups. This was a real departure from Fender's single-coil sound. This Telecaster Deluxe is a flagship of Fender's humbucking guitars. These pickups deliver thick, rich tones that are great for clean amps but really deliver the goods with cranked up overdriven, distorted, and fuzz tones. Another key feature that set the Telecaster Deluxe apart was its control configuration. Now you have individual volume and tone controls for each pickup with a 3-way pickup selector. This makes it incredibly easy to find your favorite settings.
This Telecaster Deluxe has the original amp-style controls, individual saddle string-thru-body bridge. The saddles themselves were replaced. We also found that the control pots were replaced. Everything else is original - the finish, tuners, pickups and pickguard. Also, the original hardshell case is included.
The guitar is in great shape, especially considering it's over half a century old. It has normal player wear but overall rather clean. It's lasted this long and is ready for the next 50 years! The techs in our shop have vetted and set it up to play perfectly.
For those that crave authentic vintage instruments, and appreciate the uniqueness of a Fender Telecaster Deluxe, this one from 1974 is a great move.
