Pre Owned 2004 Fender Custom Shop 60's Jazz Bass Relic 3-Tone Sunburst With OHSC

Time to channel you inner Jaco, but with frets.  That's right, it's a Fender Custom Shop 60's Jazz Bass that looks like the famous Jaco bass, but this one has frets.  Not that it was intended to be that, but that's how it ended up.  Here's the scoop:

This 60's Jazz bass was crafted by the Fender Custom Shop in 2004, as a straightforward build.  Somewhere along the way, the previous owner removed the pickguard to give it the look of the "Bass of Doom".  So, it's a 3-Tone Sunburst, without a pickguard but with the metal control plate still on, so it's got the same look.  Of course it's a normal fretted neck, so it's not actually a Jaco - it just has that vibe!  The neck shape is the early 60's U, with vintage specs for the radius and frets.  It's super comfortable to play.

The relic finish adds to the vintage vibe.  The Custom Shop nailed this one for sure!  It was in the era where there weren't multiple levels of relic'ing - so it's a straight up Relic.

The Custom Shop vintage Jazz bass pickups give you the classic tone that bass players have been loving for decades.  Whether it's laying down low end grooves or bringing leads up high to the forefront of the stage, this bass covers it.

Also, by the way: if you want us to put a pickguard on the bass, we can do that.  We have a variety on hand - just let us know what you want, and we'll throw it on at no charge for the installation (we would charge for just the pickguard itself).  The original hardshell case is included, but the COA went missing long ago.   

The bass has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  We think this is a great score at this price, and think you will too!  After all, a new Custom Shop Jazz Bass Relic like this would be twice as much.  So, this one may go quickly!
