Used 2006 Fender Left-Handed Highway 1 Stratocaster Satin Black With Gig Bag

We get a lot of guitars here, and definitely a large amount of Fender Stratocasters, including a lot of crazy high-end builds.  We also like to get unique budget-priced guitars that really stand out, and this is one of them for sure.  Not just because it's left-handed but also due to the high level of customization.  You've probably never seen one quite like this one, as it's a truly uniqe find for any southpaw.

This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis.  Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group.  Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories. This particular instrument comes with the following:

The guitar has been upgraded with custom knobs, pickguard, tuners and a bullet switch tip.  It's decked out in gold hardware.  The included gig bag also has a bonus - a matching leather comes with the guitar.

Fender debuted this model in 2006, which was targeted as an upgraded and hot-rodded version of their iconic platforms! Super-sized frets, ’70s styling, and new AlNiCo-3 pickups were the calling cards. The pickups create a rounder sound that can sound glassy or great with high gain. The thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish still lets the natural tone of the body wood shine through, and when coupled with the upgrades above, creates one of the best budget deals Fender offered.

It's extremely comfortable to play, with a slim Modern C neck profile, 9.5" radius and 22 jumbo frets for easy bending.  Of course it sounds great, with hot pickups that can cut through the mix.  The Greasebucket tone control features allows you to roll off the highs without sounding muddy.  This results in a very versatile Strat.

The guitar was built in 2006, is in excellent condition, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  You can be sure that this is the only one out there like this - and a rare customized treasure find for lefty players!
