We just took in this amazing build from 2013, a stellar Custom Shop Les Paul Custom in Alpine White.  We don't see many of these coming in, so we were thrilled when it presented it self at our counter.

 

Equipped with a solid ebony fingerboard and a long neck tenon for enhanced sustain, it combines a two-piece maple top with a solid mahogany body to provide the ideal balance of warmth and bite, suitable for styles ranging from jazz to hard rock. Its striking appearance matches its exceptional sound quality.

 

This Gibson Les Paul Custom features a stunning nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a traditional choice that not only provides a beautiful appearance but also enriches the guitar’s tonal character. It embodies the essence of a well-preserved classic instrument, promising to develop even greater character and resonance over time.

 

Beneath its elegant “tuxedo” design, this guitar features a matched 490/498 humbucker set delivering a sharp, dynamic tone.  Gibson designed the pickups on the Les Paul Custom to echo the tonal qualities of their ’57 Classics, with a subtle boost in the upper mids for a modern humbucker sound. The neck-position 490R offers the classic PAF tone enhanced by an upper-mid emphasis, providing clarity and definition that enrich warm, chimey rhythm playing. The bridge-position 498T alnico humbucker, a high-output variant of the 490T, features a hotter Alnico V magnet and specially wound coils, delivering increased crunch and sustain—ideal for heavier genres. Each pickup’s pole pieces are precisely aligned to match string spacing at the neck and bridge.

 

This Custom Shop Les Paul Custom is downright incredible.  It's in excellent condition - there's some natural dicoloration but overall it's in great shape.  The original case and certificate of authenticity are included.  The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  For anyone on the hunt for a Les Paul Custom on a great deal, this is it.
