Vintage 1936-37 Gibson EH-100 Lap Steel Guitar With OHSC

We have an incredible vintage Lap Steel guitar with this pre-war Gibson EH-100 in Black from 1936! Yes, 1936 - the year that saw Jesse Owens win 4 gold medals at the Berlin Olympics, the Queen Mary taking its maiden voyage, and the first artificial heart being invented.
This model was first introduced in 1936 as a more affordable version of the EH-150 and has become one of the best Lap Steel models Gibson has ever made from this pre-war era. This fantastic instrument was made in the legendary Kalamazoo factory.
The EH-100 is has a solid maple body with a sleek black finish and a raised silk screened Gibson logo. The mahogany neck comes with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The headstock features a raised metal nut, black peghead face with Gibson script logo. Stay in tune with vintage open tuning gears with vintage white plastic buttons. The serial number is placed on metal plate on back.
This powerful lap steel comes with a blade-type pickup in a white rectangular housing that puts out warm tones. This pickups is similar to the Charlie Christian pickup with two large magnets for plenty of output that is quite articulate with excellent sustain. Easily control your sound with single volume knob and tone knob. There is a solid metal bridge for stability. This 6-string model is tuned to G6.
This vintage find is great condition especially given its age and comes with its original hardshell case. So if you want a piece of musical history especially that of pre-war lap steel, this is definitely a great one.
