The Backstory & Kramer Connection

After Kramer went bankrupt in the early 1990s, Henry Vaccaro Sr. (one of Kramer’s original founders) formed the Vaccaro Guitar Company. His goal was to perfect the famous aluminum-neck design pioneered by Travis Bean and Kramer.

The classic Kramers were notorious for being freezing cold to the touch and incredibly neck-heavy (causing severe "neck dive"). Vaccaro solved this by designing a wood-encased aluminum neck core. The core provides incredible stability, immense sustain, and a quick attack, while the exterior wood sleeve provides a warm, traditional feel and better balance.
