Vintage 1960 Epiphone Olympic Sunburst with Case
You want a vintage piece that is high on coolness and low on price? And one that is exceptionally simple to rock? Behold this Epiphone Olympic from 1960. You don't see many of these out there, especially not as good as this one.
Essentially a Gibson Melody Maker, the Olympic was rebranded under Epiphone and only made a for a few years. The slim body is a real treat - we noticed how easy it is to play and how light it is. Anyone with a bad back will rejoice! The Olympic has a comfortable vintage neck profile with a rosewood fingerboard, and feels great in hand.
This guitar features a single pickup with volume and tone controls - simple, easy to dial in, and all that you need. It's great for clean playing but dirties up nicely. We were surprised at how versatile it is.
This Epiphone Olympic has the original finish, pickups and parts, down to the original pots. The original chipboard case is long gone; this one come in a newer Gator case. It's in good condition, especially considering that it's 65 years old - and it's ready to go another 65! The techs in our shop have set up it up to play perfectly. It's ready to go and we think it will go fast!
