Vintage 1962 Fender Tremolux Guitar Amp Head and 2x10 Cabinet Black
The Fender Tremolux is a sought-after 35-watt guitar amp head featuring the 6G9-B circuitry and matching 2x10" speaker cabinet. Celebrated for its warm, gritty sound and outstanding tube-powered tremolo effect, it remains a favorite among guitarists. This one comes to us from the year 1962 and is a pre-CBS build with the "Blonde"-era circuitry so you get a bit drive out of this amp cranked then its Black panel-successors.
You may notice that that's Black, not Blonde - that's correct, as your eyes are not deceiving you. That's because this one was recovered in black tolex.
This Tremolux is a 6L6 powerhouse that gives you plenty of headroom for any playing situation. You get two distinct channels with two inputs for each with plenty of tonal control. It comes with a GZ34 rectifier with 6G9-B circuits to give you that extra edge that is quite different from the later Black panel era Tremolux. What is unique to this one is that its internals are that of the Blonde-era but with Black panel aesthetics. The Bright and Normal channels come with two inputs and controls over Volume, Treble, and Bass. There are Speed and Intensity controls for the bias tube tremolo which affects both channels.
This awesome package includes its original piggyback cabinet covered in black tolex and comes with two original Oxford 10" speakers. This is a closed tilt-back cabinet that gives you plenty of bass response, an excellent mid-range, and all the sparkle that Fender amps are known for. This matched with the Tremolux gives you a powerful rig that brings the goods.
If you're looking a rarer vintage Fender head this is it! This package is in good condition especially given its age. It was just vetted and serviced by legendary L.A. area amp guru Greg Leon, and is ready to go.
