Fender Custom ShopBass players know that the Fender Custom Shop makes some of the world's greatest basses, and this '64 Jazz Bass in Pewter with a matching headstock shows why!

For this one, we went for period correct specs in a custom color that is rarely seen.  To us, Pewter is one of our favorite colors to do, and we're loving how the bass turned out.  The matching headstock is a nice touch and complements the dark rosewood fretboard perfectly.   While most of what's seen out there is relic'ed by the Custom Shop, we chose to keep this one clean, as an NOS.  It's like a time machine took you back to 1964, and this one came straight out of the Fender factory in Fullerton, in a super cool custom color.

For extra customization, we had the Custom Shop designate this as Sort for Lightweight, as well as Sort for Dark Rosewood on the fretboard.    It has the feel of a classic Jazz bass, with an incredibly easy to play neck.  The rock solid quartersawn maple neck is topped off with a nice dark AAA rosewood board, and a 7.25" radius for a vintage feel.

Two Vintage Jazz single-coil pickups are wired to individual volume controls for a variety of tones from classic Jazz Bass growl, to funky slap, to more aggressive modern sounds.
