Built in 2007 as a partnership between two icons, Fender and Eric Clapton, very few of these were made for the world.  Since then, it's rare that the full set has become available.  Even more rare is for it to be virtually untouched - and that's what we have right here.  This is like finding a time capsule here - the guitar was never played, the amp was never taken out, the collectible items are intact, and all of the original paperwork is included.  Everything is in like-new condition, and well maintained.  For more insight, please read the full description below, including details on what is included.

To honor and support the philanthropic efforts of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, Fender worked closely with him to create and release a very special limited edition set of guitars and amps — the Eric Clapton Crossroads Stratocaster and Crossroads ’57 Twin-Amp.  This run was one of the most high-profile creations that Fender has ever done, and set the precedent for future projects.  

It was made available to the public on July 20, 2007, just before Clapton’s monumental Crossroads Guitar Festival. All profits from the project were to benefit the Crossroads Centre, Antigua, the drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facility founded by Clapton.  Only 50 sets were planned, but in the end only about 30 were built and shipped.  Fender only did it once, and this collectible set has been in high demand ever since.

While Fender has a long tradition of producing world-class signature series instruments with top musicians, this venture represents an extraordinary collaboration.  Custom Shop Masterbuilders dedicated meticulous effort to reflect the spirit of Clapton’s artistry and philanthropy. The guitar was crafted to Eric’s specification and bears a unique “Crossroads Antigua” graphic designed and originally hand drawn by Clapton himself.  This particular Strat was built by the legendary Masterbuilder Jason Smith.  The commemorative Crossroads ’57 Twin-Amp was modeled after the original ’57 Twin—one of the most collectable amps of all time—with the classic Fender sound and design that made them so desirable.   This limited-edition amplifier also features a custom engraved commemorative “Crossroads 2007” badge in recognition of the historic concert and is signed by Clapton.

This unique Crossroads premium package will also include a certificate signed by Clapton, an official Crossroads tour laminate, set list and program book, Clapton guitar picks, a commemorative Crossroads guitar strap and a framed art print of the Crossroads instrument package, signed and numbered by photographer Stephen Pitkin.
