We always feel lucky to have such guitars here, and we're happy to present this amazing specimen from the Gibson Mod Collection, the ES-335 Blue Brink Blast. Yep, that's what it's called!
This custom finished ES-335 has a slew of features that make this a unique Gibson. Immediately, you'll notice the finish. We haven't seen one like this before, and neither have you - because it's the only one made. The burst is perfectly done, and the transparent blue finish shows the wood grain quite nicely.
ES-335s are legendary semi-hollow guitars featuring a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with the classic "F-Holes" and maple block. The neck has a rounded C profile with 22 medium jumbo frets with a 12" radius and a Graph Tech nut. Packed with a set of T-Type humbuckers, you have incredible tones at your fingertips. They are a nod to the pickups that Gibson made between 1966 – 1979, using polysol wire and Alnico 5 magnets just like the originals. The T-Type pickups have nickel covers and balanced coils, and like the originals, they are left unpotted for vintage-correct tone. Versatile and powerful, it's a great choice for this guitar.
This ES-335 comes with an ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece and a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners for tone, sustain, and stability. It has individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup with a 3-way pickup selector, just as you would expect.
At an even 8.00 lbs, it's an instrument that is comfortable for long hours of playing. This wonderful Gibson is in excellent condition - the previous owner is a long-time regular that has become a great source for guitars like this, and he keeps everything in pristine shape. The original hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity are included. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.
For those that appreciate the unique and one-off nature of guitars like this, in a classic platform like an ES-335, this is not something to miss out on.
