Used And Vintage Guitars

Record producer, songwriter, musician, and educator Rick Beato, who is well-known for his YouTube videos on everything music, is also known for his great playing.  Plus his choice of instruments...and here is his incredible signature Gibson Les Paul Special in a vibrant TV Blue Mist finish.

While you may see some of this model out there, almost all are in Burgundy, which is a current color option.  However, the TV Blue Mist is much more rare - not many were made, and it's no longer in production.  So, this color is a hard find.  We were thrilled to see it come through our door.

This guitar features a double cutaway mahogany body that is slightly thinner (1.5”) than normal, making it a bit lighter and more comfortable. For a distinctive look, the guitar is finished in an exclusive satin nitrocellulose lacquer color, developed with Rick and named Sparkling Burgundy Satin, and Rick’s signature is reproduced on the truss rod cover. The mahogany neck has a slim taper with a rosewood fingerboard. with 22 medium jumbo frets.

This Les Paul Special Double cut comes equipped with a pair of Lindy Fralin hum-cancelleng P90 pickups (5% overwound).   With a unique coil design and magnet structure, the this set provides a versatile, hum-free tone that cleans up and gets dirty, with plenty of articulation and clarity.  Whatever style you play, you will undoubtedly stand out in the mix with the pronounced pick attack, crystal-clear lows, and round highs. And the best part? Zero hum.

Included in the case are the orginal pickups, which are prized for their thick tones but with single-coil articulation. You get individual volume and tone controls. The Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece give you great sustain and easy intonation adjustment. This is a great all around guitar perfect for any playing styles and offers a unique twist on a Gibson classic.

Rick Beato is very knowledgeable and definitely knows great tone and his Les Paul Special Double Cut is perfect example!

This particular guitar suffered a cracked headstock while in transit, which has been professionally repaired by the top tech here in our repair shop.  He's done a lot of such repairs to Gibson headstock and did wonders with this one.  While the crack and fix is evident, it cleaned up nicely and is super solid. There are no issues with it, but of course we wanted to mention it!  We've priced the guitar accordingly.

This instrument is in excellent condition otherwise and comes with its original hardshell case.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  There aren't many of these out there, especially as nice as this one, and it's likely to move fast at this price.
