Pre-Owned 2025 Fender Japan FSR Traditional II 60s Mustang Left-Handed Daphne Blue with Gig Bag

The Mustang is the short-scale offset that Kurt Cobain and a long line of indie and garage players made famous, and this left-handed Japanese-built version is a faithful take on the 1960s original. It is a limited-run Daphne Blue, in excellent condition and barely played, and lefty Mustangs in this quality are not easy to come by. It was built in Japan in 2025, and comes to us from our favorite left-handed source, who keeps all of his gear clean. This is a great one.
The body is basswood with a gloss finish, and it weighs 6.5 lbs, so it is light and easy to keep on for hous. The 24" scale is the reason many players love a Mustang. String tension is lower, bends come easily and chord shapes sit under your hand with very little effort. The neck is maple with a vintage-style "U" shape and a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, a bone nut and vintage-style frets.
It's fitted with vintage-style tuners with aged white plastic buttons, so the look matches the period. The floating bridge with a dynamic vibrato tailpiece gives you a gentle, vintage-style wobble and takes some care to keep in tune.
You get two single-coil Mustang pickups with a master volume and master tone. Each pickup has its own on/off slider and its own in/out phase switch, which opens up a lot more sounds than a typical two-pickup guitar, from tight and chimey to hollow and quacky when you put the pickups out of phase. This guitar gives you the classic vintage Mustang tone.
Fender doesn't currently offer a left-handed Mustang here in the U.S., so this is a great find. It comes with a gig bag. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go.
