Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Mahogany Top TV Yellow With Case
A New Take on An Old Favorite
The Les Paul Standard 50s Mahogany Top retains the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of Innovation and brings authenticity back to life.
The guitar has a solid mahogany body with a mahogany top replacing the usual maple top. This is similar to some Les Paul Customs, many of which also feature all-mahogany bodies, and it results in a slightly warmer, more midrange-focused tone. Everything else you love about the Les Paul Standard 50s remains the same, including the mahogany neck with a rounded, 50s vintage profile topped with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. It's super comfortable and provides the classic feel that players love.
The Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop™ capacitors. For those that crave authentic Les Paul tone, this is the way to get it. Powerful, with the ability to clean up nicely while also dominating the dirty scene, these pickups help make this Les Paul quite versatile.
This Les Paul is also equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and black Top Hat knobs. A hardshell case completes the package.
