Pre Owned 1993 Gibson Nighthawk Special SP-3 Sunburst With OHSC

The Gibson Nighthawk Special comes with a sleek, contoured single-cut solid mahogany body with a maple cap that is resonant, compact, and comfortable with additional "belly" cutaway on the back. You get a set mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets and a 25 1/2" scale, which is longer than the traditional Gibson scale length. The top features a beautiful sunburst tasteful cream binding that has a lovely vintage tint due to its age.

You really hit all the sweet spots of sounds with this Nighthawk's pickup configuration. You get three completely distinct pickups; a M-series humbucker in the neck, a single-coil in the middle, and a slanted humbucker in the bridge. So whether you want bell-like tones with quack, tight attack and bite from the mini-humbucker, and thick rich tones with its full size humbucker in the bridge. Easily find your sounds with a 5-way selector with master volume and tone controls with additional push/pull features. 

Whether its the thru the body string setup, gold bridge, or premium gold Deluxe tuners you are stacked with great hardware to keep you in tune, well-intonated, with excellent sustain.

 

This guitar is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case.  Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to soar out into the night.
