Here in stock is the Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster in the ever-cool Lake Placid Blue finish. As the photos show, it's in excellent, like new condition - it even still has the pickguard plastic and sticker in tact. The previous owner never played it. So, this is a great opportunity.
This is one of the most period-accurate recreations of the archetypal offset-bodied guitar, the Fender Jazzmaster! The American Vintage II series represents Fender's attention to detail in recreating its most iconic historic models. It features the instantly recognizable coutoured offset alder body, a period-correct maple neck with a 1966 "C" shape, a 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, 21 vintage tall frets, bound neck, and block inlays. The accurate appointments continue with its single with single-line “Fender Deluxe” tuners and the patented “floating” tremolo, adjustable bridge with threaded saddles. This expressive tremolo is a staple of what makes a Jazzmaster distinct from the other Fender models.
Another key feature that gives the Jazzmaster its place as a guitar icon are its pickups, and this one features Pure Vintage ‘66 Jazzmaster pickups that are wired to the signature rhythm and lead circuits, giving you access to all the classic tones you'd expect from this historic recreation.
This guitar has been recreated with an attention to detail down to every component including the screws. Of course, to keep it true to tradition, it has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish (the American Vintage II is the only production series that Fender makes with this outside of the Custom Shop). The guitar is iconic, the specs are spot on, and the color is about as classic as it gets. The matching headstock is a great touch.
This is an excellent instrument in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case, as well as the paperwork. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. For anyone looking for an American Vintage II '66 Jazzmaster on a great deal, look no further!
