Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

For those looking for a Gretsch guitar that brings you the absolute best of Gretsch's golden years of the 1950s, here is this Grestsch Vintage Select '53 Duo Jet in Black!  They absolutely nailed this one.  It's a Duo Jet built with uncompromised standards and detail of the iconic years of this hugely influential guitar.

Debuting in 1953 The Duo Jet became Gretsch's flagship "solid body" guitar. Even though its known for its signature power and punch, the guitar itself has a chambered mahogany design. This allows more air to resonate providing more harmonic complexity than a standard solid-body with more snap and articulation. The tonewood combination of a maple top and chambered mahogany body really gives you a unique take on a classic combination. You will love the feel of its mahogany neck with a standard "U" shape with a 12" radius that recalls a vintage feel. The gloss set neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets with aged pearloid inlays. The bone nut keeps your tuning stable and transfers maximum resonance.

The electronics of this impressive Vintage Select bring you all the classic tones you want! There are a set of TV Jones T'Armond pickups that provide the vintage tones of the classic Dynasonic pickups. This give you the power of those articulate single coil pickups with plenty of snap and even a bit of twang if desired. The classic controls of individual pickup volumes, Master Volume, Master Tone, and a 3-way pickup selector make it a breeze to find your favorite sounds.

All of the iconic hardware is here with this Vintage Select. You get period-correct Bigbsy tremolo with rosewood bridge. The Grover Sta-Tite Die-Cast tuners keep you in tune. Whether its the controls or the classic Gretsch headstock inlay, there are plenty of touches to make this an incredible vintage reissue.

This guitar is in excellent condition and comes with its original hardshell case.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly, and it's ready for it's next home.
