Pre Owned Traben Phoenix 4 Flame Red Bass With OHSC

Time for your low end inspiration to rise like a Phoenix! Here's this Traben Phoenix 4 Bass! This bass is composed of a basswood body with an impressive quilted maple top with a Phoenix flame inlay. You get a 5-ply maple-walnut-maple-walnut-maple) bolt-on neck with a rosewood fingerboard. There are 2 graphite neck-reinforcement rods and a 2-way adjustable truss rod that gives you excellent action adjustment. It's a 34" scale bass with a plenty of tonal power.

This instrument is from the personal collection of the late Brad Pie who played guitar in the 1990’s with the great Johnny Otis.  Along with Johnny’s sons - Shuggie Otis (Guitar) and Nicky Otis (Drums) - Brad contributed guitar to the 1992 Grammy-Nominated “Spirits of the Black Territory Bands” by the Johnny Otis & His Orchestra group.  Many of the instruments from Brad’s collection are uniquely modified and come with various customized accessories. This particular instrument  has been customized with super cool knobs.  A gig bag is in included, as well as a nice leather strap.

This Phoenix flies high in the low end with its pair of Seymour Duncan ASB4 Bassline pickups. The neck is a single-coil version while you get a humbucker in the bridge. These active pickups are high-output to easily dial-in aggressive bass tones that are thunderous, crisp, and responsive. Utilize the Seymour Duncan STC3a active preamp with a 3-band EQ to provide a wide range of awesome bass tones.

This bass has been setup to play perfectly, is in excellent condition and comes with a strap and gig bag.
