This Yamaha CGX-171CCA comes with a thinner body acoustic body composed of rosewood back and sides with a solid cedar top. This tonewood combination gives you plenty of warmth from the rosewood and the top brings a balanced vibrance perfectly for nylon strings. The nato set neck has a comfier slimmer neck profile that is great for fast playing. The rosewood fingerboard provides warmth and stability and the deep cutaway gives you full access to the fingerboard. So whether its chordal rhythm playing or higher register melodies and leads this Yamaha delivers. 

This Yamaha model originally came with an exclusive 2-way pickup system that blends an under-saddle piezo pickup with an adjustable internal condenser microphone.  When we took it in, we found that the condenser mic wasn't functional, which is why we marked it down from $799 to $599.  You still get the working piezo pickup for natural and dynamic tones....so you can be plugged in, anywhere!
