Used Fender American Vintage 1962 Stratocaster 3-Tone Sunburst with OHSC

Here we have a excellent example of Fender's work at the turn of the century - an American Vintage 1962 Strat, made in the year 2000. Featuring a lacquer finish on an alder body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, and vintage hardware, this is the real deal. It's in a gorgeous 3-Tone Sunburst finish that has aged nicely over the last 22 years.
We just took this guitar in on trade, and it's a great player. It's not in perfect shape - this is a guitar that was played, as it should have been, and shows signs of that. The body has some dings, and what we call "honest player wear". Or some would just call mojo! Please see sure to check out the photos to see everything.
The pickups were replaced long ago, upgraded to a David Allen Pickups Tru' 62 set. They are very balanced and versatile. Here's the official word from the David Allen Pickups website on this set:
This set was made from examination of a 1962 Strat that had "The Tone". Alnico 5 magnets but we use our modern stagger and 42 ga wire. All 3 pickups are "F" 52mm spaced. This set will cover the 61 - 64 Strat tones, so think Knopfler, Rory, SRV "Scotch", Hendrix, etc. (Neck 6.13 Middle 6.28 RWRP Bridge 6.6)
The rest of the guitar is original, other than a replaced neckplate, backplate and trem arm. The neck is in great shape, with lots of life left in the frets. It has been vetted and set up to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. The guitar comes with the original hardshell case (period correct brown Fender G&G).
These American Vintage Strats are hard to come by - come to Club Fender @ Truetone Music to give it a try today, or order here to be shipped to your home.
