Perinetti Guitars Lancia Deluxe Semi-Hollow Natural with Soft Case
Perinetti Guitars is a Chilean brand of boutique instruments. They build electric guitars and basses for customers all over the world from their workshop in Quillota, Chile. Founded in 2013 by Martín Frías Perinetti (head luthier and designer), the company specializes in high end instruments built with top notch craftmanship and attention to detail.
We just came on board as their first North American dealer, and are proud to introduce these instruments. We carry a wide array of brands at Truetone, and have a ton of amazing guitars here - it takes something special to really grab our attention the way Perinetti did when the first samples came through the door. We fell in love, and think you will too.
The final result of months of design, research and development, the Perinetti Lancia is a comfortable, versatile and powerful sounding guitar that suits players from a broad range of styles. Here we have a Lancia Deluxe Semi-Hollow, which is truly like nothing we've seen before. This is the guitar that convinced us to get on board.
Featuring a super interesting set of tonewoods, this one really stands out. It has a Spanish Cedar core with Patagonian Rosewood top and back. Cedar is typically seen on acoustic guitars, and is prized for a warm, intimate tone. It's know for being responsive to touch, which is why it's commonly used on classical guitars. In this case, it's a great match for the Rosewood used on the top and back. Rosewood is also typically seen on acoustics, not electrics (although a Rosewood Tele is one of the most famous electric guitars of all time thanks to George Harrison). It has an exceptional low-end response and beautifully glassy top-end, with excellent sustain. The combination of these woods creates a depth and complexity to the harmonic output of the guitar. Whether played acoustically or plugged in, the Lancia Deluxe Semi-Hollow will impress.
The guitar has a 25.5” scale that will feel familiar. The Spanish Cedar neck with Rosewood fretboard is quite comfortable to play, with a medium C profile. It's the type of guitar that you won't want to put down.
The nitrocellulose lacquer finish is spectacular on this one, showing the wood nicely. Right off the bat, we're thinking this is one of the coolest looking guitars we have here.
It's loaded with the Bare Knuckle Pickups Nantucket HSP90 set, which we feel was a great choice. Arguably the ultimate pickup with the best tonal elements of humbuckers and single coils, the P90 single coil has a distinct and gutsy tone all of its own. The sound of a hand-wound late ‘50s vintage P90 is unmistakable, and the Nantucket keeps that tone alive. These pickups are raw and in your face, but also clean up nicely. The lows are solid and tight, while the high notes can really sing, especially when overdriven. These pickups are touch sensitive, making them the perfect complement to the woods in this guitar.
You also get top notch parts with CTS Pots & Switchcraft electronics. Everything on this guitar is built to exacting standards. It's high quality all around.
