Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

Here at Truetone Music, we are fortunate to have close relationships with some of the most legendary figures in the musical instrument industry.  These are people behind the scenes that have helped make brands what they are today.  One that we go way back with is Jack Schwarz.  So much so that he gave the owner of Truetone his start in the industry!  Over decades, Jack played a pivotal role at Fender and eventually became the owner of Fano.  During his career, he amassed an impressive collection of gear.  Now, select pieces have become available for the first time, exclusively through Truetone Music.

One of the first pieces is this rare Fano Alt de Facto ML6.  Built in 2017, it was one of the first guitars built by Fano in Arizona, following the transition from Premier Builders Guild to Desert Son Musical Instruments.

As part of Fano’s Alt de Facto range, every ML6 was hand-built to order. The Fano ML6 Alt de Facto is a highly versatile, fully customizable, boutique instrument bridging mid century Americana guitar aesthetics with modern playability, appealing to players seeking vintage tone with contemporary build standards and flexibility.

According to Jack, "In 2015, I was hired by Premier Builders Guild as their VP of Operations. In January 2017, along with a business partner, I purchased Fano Guitars and this was one of the guitars that I acquired for my personal collection. I sold my share and retired from the company in 2022. This guitar is a set-neck guitar with mahogany neck and body and features gold hardware and Lollar P90 pickups with gold pole pieces."

The Fano ML6 Alt de Facto is a boutique, handcrafted double-cutaway guitar blending vintage Fender and Gibson influences with modern playability.  You get a mahogany body and set neck, rosewood fretboard and a 24.75" scale length.  The late 50's round back "C" shape profile has a great vintage feel  The ML6 came in a variety of finishes but not many were made in Olympic White like this, which looks great with the distressed treatment, white pearl pickguard and gold hardware.  It's rather exquisite!

While many had humbuckers, this one is loaded with a set of Lollar P90's.  Whether you're keeping it clean for some smooth picking or getting down and dirty, these pickups are well balanced.  It's a surprisingly versatile guitar.

This Fano Alt de Facto is really something special.  It's super comfortable, high quality and loaded with killer tones.  As a long time Fano dealer, we've had a lot of great ones here at Truetone, but this one jumps out.  First, you don't see many ML6's around, period.  Second, this one in particular has a great backstory and history.  And third, perhaps most importantly, it plays great and sounds amazing!

The techs in our shop have setup the guitar to play perfectly, and it's ready to go.  The original gig bag is included.  This is quite the find!
