The Gibson SG made its debut in 1961 and replaced the Gibson Les Paul Special as the solid body go to. Thanks to its iconic body shape and powerful tones it quickly became the go-to instrument. This Inspired By Gibson SG '61 gives you a two-piece solid mahogany body with a tasty cherry finish. It is lightweight and resonant with a set one-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable SlimTaper "C" Profile neck. The neck has an Indian laurel fingerboard with the distinct pearloid trapezoid inlays with 22 medium jumbo frets, and with its Graphtec nut you get the best combination of sturdy construction and comfort.
You will love cranking up the bombastic tones of this Epiphone SG with its pair of powerful humbuckers. There is a Gibson BurstBucker 2 in the neck for thick rhythm tones and for blistering leads you get a Gibson Burstbucker 3. These pickups are perfect for clean or distorted playing styles. You get total control of your sounds with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup with CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors.
