Pre Owned Winfield Cyclone Guitar Amp Head & 2x10 Guitar Amp Cabinet With Head Cover

 We just took in an awesome boutique amp from Winfield, the Cyclone! Not just the combo, this is the full head & cab setup, complete with padded covers.  Winfield amps are very hard to find, as not many have been made, and this is a rare rig.  Handmade by Winfield Thomas in Arizona, it's boutique amp line with very, very affordable pricing.

In 1958, Buddy Holly and his bandmates bought three motorcycles. The others bought Triumphs, Buddy bought an Ariel Cyclone. After his untimely death, Holly's family kept it and eventually it made it's way to Waylon Jennings in 1979, who owned it until his own passing in 2002.  Winfield Thomas has owned one himself since 1980.  This amp is named in its honor, although it is more British in design than American, and is similar to the normal channel of the 15-Watt amp once used by the Beatles. It features controls for Volume, tone, master and cut. It has an EF86 preamp, 12AX7 Phase inverter, two EL84s in Push=Pull configuration and a 5AR4 Rectifier. It's about 15 Watts, just like the one back then.

This fantastic amp is a beast - surprisingly powerful, with great tone, and lightweight.  It makes for a great gigging amp.  What you get is an amp that can deliver sparkly cleans to warm overdriven tones very reminiscent of a Vox amp. This amp gives you that fantastic British tone but is versatile enough to be used in a variety of settings. Everything about the Cyclone oozes vintage greatness. 

Along with the head, a matching 2x10 cabinet completes the rig.  This open back cab is loaded with two high quality Eminence Legend speakers, providing a classic vintage tone that is a perfect match for the Cyclone head. 

 Completing the package is a padded cover for the head, made by Studio Slips.  This isn't just an old amp cover - this is a high quality, super nice cover that more like a carrying bag.  100% handmade in California from the finest, most durable materials, this padded cover really protects the head.

The whole rig is in excellent condition, and has been vetted to perfect working order.  Winfield amps are hard to get, and this setup right here is a perfect score!
