Vintage 1966 Fender Vibrolux Guitar Amp Combo

Up for sale is a true icon from the 60s, a Fender Vibrolux from 1966!  That was pivotal year in music - from Eleanor Rigby to Good Vibrations, plus Summer in the City, not to mention When a Man Loves a Woman and The Sound of Silence, there's an amazing array of classic songs.  Most were recorded using Fender gear, and many would have utilized a Vibrolux like this one.  And, to this day it remains a super popular amp for the studio as well as on stage.

We just took this one in and are blown away by how good it sounds.  Also, we had it vetted and service by local L.A. legendary amp guru Greg Leon, so it's good to go.

The Fender Vibrolux is a legendary 60's era amp that is just flat out a great all-around amp. It features 2x10" speakers for a nice balance but a bit more brightness than its 12" counterparts. The amp has a generous 40-watts of power giving you plenty of clean headroom that also takes to pedals very well. So if you want put an overdrive pedal in front it will excel with the dirty tones.

This Fender Vibrolux is from the Blackface era which is notable one of the most desired periods of Fender amp production. Why?  Point-to-point wiring, and great components including the heart of the amp with its transformer. This particular one is mostly all original with some small internal parts having been replaced as part of normal maintenance.  Also it has a modern 3-prong power cable.  Most importantly, It has the original speakers and transformer.  The non-original parts that have been replaced are as follows: filter and bypass capacitors, bias circuit, plate resistors, power cord.  The amp does not come with a footswtich or cover.

For those that crave vintage authenticity in classic tube amps, this is a great find.  You don't see many of these around especially not as good as this one. 

This amp is in great condition, especially for it's age.  It gives you a tone that has been desired for decades and is still the gold standard warm clean sounds. Get this iconic amp today!
