From the pivotal year of 1973, we just scored this vintage Fender Princeton Reverb. It's an absolute legendary amp that began its debut in the tweed era and continues to today. This one comes to us from the original Silverface era. Over the years, it was kept super clean, never modded, and has had just a single owner. It's a rare find.
This is a 12-watt, 6V6 powered amp that gives you enough power for the stage and is also the perfect studio amp. When it came in, we plugged in and were immediately blown away. It delivers sweet sparkly tones that Princeton Reverbs are known for. This era of this amp gives you a set of one 7025, two 12AX7s, and one 12AT7 preamp tubes. You get a great clean tone that can give a little breakup when cranked up, and it will really soak up pedals well. It has the classic controls with Volume, Bass and Treble.
Of course, the world knows the sound, as this model is prized for the lush reverb and sweet sounding vibrato. You can easily dial in your favorite settings with a reverb control knob and controls for the speed and intensity of the vibrato. If you dig the classic sound of Fender reverb, this is it.
This one has the original 10" Jensen speaker, transformer and everything else. It does not have the footswitch - that went missing years ago but can be easily replaced. The amp has been vetted by our vintage amp guru and is in perfect working order. It has lasted this long - over 50 years and is ready for another 50! A vintage 1973 Princeton Reverb like this is a great find, especially in this condition.
