In 2020, Fano expanded the Alt de Facto offering to include the JM4 bass.  For those that don't know, this model is a favorite amongst bass players worldwide, and one of the best-selling platforms for Fano.  As soon as we heard this, we knew we had to spec one out.  After all, the Alt de Facto line is the cream of the crop.  Since then, we've done quite a few ADF JM4's and all of them are winners.  Now, we wanted one a unique JM4 that no one had seen before, and when this arrived, we were blown away.

We asked for a color rarely seen, Pelham Blue Burst, and Fano knocked it out of the park.  The color is awesome, but also pay attention to the neck - that's a birdseye maple fretboard, with black block inlays and binding.  It's stunning.  Of course, you'll notice is the visual vibe right off the bat, that's not what's all about.  The real story is that this bass sounds and feels as good as it looks.

The JM4  incorporates a 34” scale length, 12” radius fretboard and an early-60’s C Shape neck that feels comfortable and familiar in your hands.   The alder body isn't too heavy, but it resonates powerfully.  Proprietary “FanoBird” bass pickups and a “HiMax” bridge that offers both top-load and string-through body options round it out.  Other features include nickel barrel knobs, a 3-ply black pickguard, and Fano's own 4-in-line tuners.  See below for the full list of specs.

Also, this Alt de Facto JM$ comes with a custom G&G case as an added bonus (most Fano instruments come with just a gig bag).

This bass gives you the feel of a vintage instrument, with modern features, with an original design and truly unique look.  Any Fano Alt de Facto bass is going to be amazing, and this particular JM4 takes it to a new level.

Like all Fano Alt de Facto instruments, each JM4 is hand-built, one at a time from start to finish by one builder in Scottsdale, AZ.  This one was spec'ed out together by the head of Truetone and the head of Fano, collaborating to create a bass that hadn't been done before.  This lightly distressed JM4 in the ultra cool Pelham Blue Burst finish is a one of a kind instrument and the only one out there right now.  Get it here now before it's gone!
