Fano Alt De Facto PX6 Olympic White with Gig Bag
Secure your grip on the Alt de Facto PX6, a guitar influenced by the classic “Non-Reverse” design yet distinguished by its own unique features. Its neck and fingerboard emulate the look and feel of a ’50s bolt-on style, while the two Lollar P-90 pickups provide powerful and versatile tonal performance.
The Fano Alt de Facto PX6 is a vintage-inspired electric guitar hand-built by one builder in using premium tone woods and aged hardware. This one was spec'ed out together by the head of Truetone and the head of Fano, collaborating to create some guitars that hadn't been done before. It's actually the first guitar we've received from Fano since their recent relocation to Nashville, and we couldn't be more impressed. It could be said that the move has made their guitars even better!
Lightweight at just 7.3 lbs and easy to play, this guitar is made to go as rough or smooth as you like. It's well-balanced, both ergonomically and tonally. The first thing you'll notice is the aesthetic, but rest assured that this guitar sounds and feels as good as it looks.
The PX6 incorporates a 25.5" scale length, compound radius (10 - 16"), and a Late 50's Roundback neck carve that feels comfortable and familiar in your hands. It's not a super skinny neck but it's also not a baseball bat - to us, it's perfectly in-between. It will really appeal to players that appreciate the feel of vintage guitars from the Golden Era....but with modern playability.
At Fano's suggestion, we went with the Lollar Firebird pickups. Not to be confused with a mini-humbucker with no poles, this humbucker has a unique design and a sound closer to a fat single coil than a full-size humbucker. Compared with a mini-humbucker, it features a brighter overall sound and a bass response that remains tight and defined noticeably longer. It also gives you less snarl and more spank. Made with Alnico 5 blade (pole piece) magnets, the pickups provide an incredible tone.
We chose the Light Distress package, and Fano knocked it out of the park. No surprise there - they always do! But this one is a especially well done. The wear is somewhat minimal, and kept realistic. The marks are in the right places, creating a great vintage look and feel.
We love collaborating to create some that hadn't been seen before. This Fano Alt de Facto PX6 is a unique instrument and the only one out there right now.
Come to Truetone Music to give it a try, or order right here right now before it's gone!
