Fano's Alt de Facto guitars are the pinnacle of perfection.  Hand-built, each instrument is made to exacting specifications with a choice of pickups, color, wood, hardware and finish style.  No two are the same.

The Builder's Choice instruments are dreamt up, crafted and perfected by a top builder from start to finish - and the results are unbelievable.  We've been blown away by every one that we've received.  This TC6 is no exception - when it landed, many here felt that it was the best Fano we've received in the many years of being a dealer.  We spec'ed this one out to have master luthier Graham Dowling build, and he absolutely nailed it.

The single-cut shape of the TC6 echoes the traditional String-Through solid body, while breaking tradition by adding a funky pickguard for a dash of retro goodness.  The combination of the plastic and metal, along with the Heavy Distress finish package, gives it a very unique aesthetic.  It's familiar, but unlike anything you've seen before.

The early 60's style C shaped neck is extremely comfortable, and the compound radius (7.25 - 9.5") is perfect for both chording and lead playing.  The back of the neck is worn in, with most of the finish removed, making it a breeze to play.  This guitar has the feel and vibe of an old vintage instrument but with some modern tweaks, upgrades and reliability.  The Swamp Ash body is light (the guitar weighs in at just 7.6 lbs) and resonant.  The relic work, in our opinion, is perfect - there are not many that can do it as well as Fano.

This TC6 is outfitted with Lollar pickups, a long-time favorite of ours.  It starts with the Special T bridge pickup, which is punchy and powerful, offering focused midrange with a small bump in compression and a smooth top end. A versatile pickup suitable for a wide variety of playing styles, the Special T is a great fit for players who find most other similar pickups to be too bright, or those looking for a slightly hotter and darker tone while still evoking the best of the Fullerton-era sound.  We paired it with a  Lollar Imperial Humbucker in the neck position.  It's their  take on the original 1950s P.A.F. pickup. Designed to draw from the long revered qualities of the original P.A.F.s while improving on their frequency balance and giving a slight boost to the bridge pickup’s output, this could be our favorite humbucker out there. Together, they make for an amazing set on an amazing guitar.

Any Fano Alt de Facto Builder's Choice is going to be amazing, and this one-of-a-kind TC6 is a great example.  Come to Truetone Music to give it a try, or order right here right now before it's gone.
